We are blessed with the love of our companions, so we naturally want the best for them!

Hemp  is one of the earliest known domesticated plants, cultivated by civilizations for approximately 12,000 years.  With so many wonderful benefits, hemp seeds are one of nature's most perfect foods and contain high levels of vitamins A, C and E and beta-carotene and are rich in protein, carbohydrates, minerals and fiber.  Hemp protein is considered the most easily digestible form of protein in the food chain, with an excellent 3:1 balance of omega 3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

There is a lot of confusion about the difference between hemp and marijuana since the two plants look identical. Though they are both varieties of cannabis, they are not the same. Hemp belongs to the species Cannabis sativa L and it contains 0.3% or less of the psychoactive compound delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). In contrast, marijuana plants contain 5% to 20% of THC. Another difference is that hemp plants usually contain significantly more cannabidiol (CBD) which is a compound that actually counteracts the psychoactivity of THC and has significant medical benefits.

"Rafael Mechoulam, an Israeli scientist, first discovered the endocannabinoid system. He also was the first person to identify and isolate CBD, THC, and many of the other known cannabinoids (CBN, CBC, CBG, THCa,CBDa, etc). Mechoulam has become known as the grandfather of cannabis due to his extensive research and contributions to cannabinoid study. Cannabidiol "CBD" has been recognized for its benefits on human and animal health."

Human physiology as well as the physiology of all animals, produce cannabinoids naturally. The natural chemicals produced by the body that interact within the Endocannabinoid system are called cannabinoids.

Therefore, the receptors found throughout the body all respond to the hemp plant phytocannabinoids when they enter the body just as they do with our bodies' natural cannabinoids. The phytocannabinoids bind to the receptors that need them most creating a balanced system.  Without this balance the body therefore can become dis-eased.

Plant phytocannabinoids CBD, are a non-psychoactive "will not get you or your animals high" and is a healthy, natural way to provide balance in the body of a human or animal.
